Ran informal trial of cut stump vs. basal treatment. . Basaled trunks with hand sprayer bottles. At 12-month mark observed high mortality with no resprouts. Easier to navigate through site and treat remaining trees than cut-stump method. Very easy application process with little equipment and herbicide required.

Ran informal trial of cut stump vs. basal treatment. Cut stump (in this case chainsawed) and applied G4 cocktail. At 12-month mark observed high mortality and no resprouts. Without trial plots, unable to tell if mortality is 100% but it looks close to it. Dropped trunks were difficult to navigate through and made re-treating new and missed trees challenging.

      Habitat: mesic
