Grevillea robusta, commonly known as the southern silky oak, silk oak or silky oak, or Australian silver oak, is the largest species in the genus Grevillea of the family Proteaceae. It is not closely related to the true oaks, Quercus. It is a native of eastern coastal Australia, in riverine, subtropical and dry rainforest environments receiving more than 1,000 mm per year of average rainfall.

  Milestone Trial tested 4 cuts/trunk with 0.5ml/cut versus 4 cuts/trunk with 1ml/cut; 12 trees total tested. At 3 months, 1ml trees (n = 6) were all alive, but 5 of 6 fully defoliated, and 1 of 6 with a bit of foliage left; 0.5ml trees (n=6) had 2 of 6 dead, and all fully defoliated. At 29 months, couldn't find all trees; of 1ml trees, found 4 of 6 and all dead; of 0.5ml trees found 5 of 6 and all dead. Milestone very effective on small GreRob.

  During IPA sweeps for GreRob, noted that some large trees don't die, or decline but then resprout. Not sure if dose is too low, or tree is simply resilient because it is so big. Large trees may require 2nd application.
